Is Swyvl really free?
Yes. The Free plan includes 5 GB storage, 3 sites, and 5 active share links — enough to try everything. No credit card, no trial period. Upgrade when you need more storage, sites, or custom branding.
What happens to my data on the Free plan?
Your data is safe as long as your account is active. If there's no login and no share link views for 12 months, we'll send you a reminder before archiving your account. You can always reactivate by logging in.
How does storage billing work?
Each paid plan includes a storage allowance. If you go over, we charge $0.05 per GB per month. You can disable overage in settings to hard-cap your storage. The Free plan has a hard cap at 5 GB — no overage charges.
Can I switch plans or cancel anytime?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from your settings page at any time. No contracts, no lock-in. If you cancel a paid plan, you move back to the Free plan — your data stays, but you'll be subject to Free plan limits.
What's included on the Free plan?
All 14 viewer types, Google SSO, activity log, and unlimited client viewers. AI edits — plain-English file editing for things like reprojection, transcoding, and cropping — are reserved for paid plans. The other main differences are storage, number of sites, share link limits, and custom branding (paid plans can replace the default Swyvl branding with your own logo and colours).
Where is my data stored?
You choose your storage region at signup: Australia, US East, US West, United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, Japan, or Singapore. Files never leave your selected region.
How does the annual discount work?
Pay annually and save 15%. Solo: $42/mo ($504/yr), Team: $169/mo ($2,028/yr). Extra Team seats are also discounted on annual: $12.75/seat instead of $15. Switch between monthly and annual from your settings.
Do clients pay to view my deliveries?
No. Client viewers are always unlimited and always free — on every plan including Free. You only pay for editor seats.
