Refund Policy
Last updated: 29 July 2026
This Refund Policy applies to paid subscriptions for the Swyvl platform, operated by Lateral Vision Pty Ltd (ABN 71 624 831 223) trading as Swyvl ("Swyvl", "we", "us", "our"). It forms part of our Terms of Service. Capitalised terms used here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
Payments for Swyvl subscriptions are processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record for transactions on the Swyvl platform. Refunds are issued by Paddle and are also subject to the Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Refund Policy.
1. 14-day money-back guarantee
If you are not satisfied with a paid plan, you may request a refund within 14 days of your first payment, for any reason. Refunds are issued in full to your original payment method.
The guarantee applies to:
- Your first payment on a new subscription (monthly or annual, Solo or Team)
- The first payment after a free plan upgrade
The guarantee applies once per customer and to your first subscription only. It does not apply to:
- Subsequent renewal payments, except where required by law in your country (see Section 4)
- Repeat purchases of the same or a similar plan after a previous refund
- Additional seat charges or storage overage charges billed during an ongoing subscription
Refunds may be declined where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour.
2. What happens when a refund is issued
When a refund is issued, your account immediately reverts to the Free plan and Free plan limits apply, including the limits on storage, active sites, and active share links. Your data is not deleted, but you will need to reduce usage to within Free plan limits to continue uploading, and share links above the Free plan limit will be deactivated.
3. After the 14-day period
After the 14-day period, we do not refund fees already paid for a current or partial billing period.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again after that. See the Terms of Service for what happens to your account and data after cancellation.
4. Statutory rights
Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under consumer protection law in your jurisdiction. This includes:
- Statutory withdrawal rights available to consumers in certain territories (including the EU/EEA, United Kingdom, and others), as set out in the Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Refund Policy
- The consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified (see Section 13 of our Terms of Service)
Where local law or Paddle's Refund Policy gives you greater rights than this Policy, those rights apply.
5. Technical issues and defects
If you experience a persistent technical issue or a material defect that prevents you from using the Service as described, contact us at support@swyvl.io. We will work with you to resolve the issue or arrange a refund, regardless of the 14-day period. This does not limit your rights under Section 4.
6. How to request a refund
To request a refund:
- Use the "View receipt" or "Manage subscription" link in your Paddle confirmation email; or
- Submit a request via Paddle's buyer support site at paddle.net; or
- Contact us at support@swyvl.io and we will assist you.
Eligible refunds are processed by Paddle to your original payment method, typically within 14 days of approval.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your transaction governs that transaction. We will notify you of material changes in accordance with our Terms of Service.
