How do I share an Xgrids scan without sending the software?

Upload the LCC or LCC2 package as a ZIP, or the loose files, and send a link. The scan opens in the browser: orbit it or walk through it at eye level, click the ground to move, and measure on it. Nothing to install, no account for whoever opens it.

The scan looks incredible in LCC Studio. The client will never see it there.

They are not installing Xgrids software to look at one capture.

Your client cannot run the Xgrids software, and should not have to.

A fly-through video shows the scan but nobody can look where they want, and a screenshot is a screenshot.

The 3D capture company Swyvl grew out of, delivering to mining and energy clients

Export with the mesh

Include the mesh when you export from Xgrids software. It is what gives the client collisions in Walk mode and True scale measurements.

Upload the package

ZIP or loose files, up to 100 GB. Swyvl extracts the scene and anchors it to the site and the visit.

The client orbits or walks through the capture in their browser and measures on it. You see when they opened it.

Questions people ask first

Which Xgrids formats open in Swyvl?
LCC and LCC2 scene packages, with SOG or SPZ tile compression. Upload the ZIP or the unzipped folder contents; Swyvl reassembles the scene from the manifest.
Should I include the mesh in the export?
Yes. Collisions in Walk mode and True scale measurements both need it. Without a mesh the client flies freely and measurements are marked Indicative.
Can the client walk through it on a share link?
Yes. Orbit and Walk are available to anyone who opens the link, on every plan, with nothing to install. Click the ground to walk there; a ring marks where you will land.
Are the measurements survey grade?
The badge tells you what the numbers rest on. On a scan with a mesh they are True scale, real metres in the scan's own frame. A georeferenced export is badged Georeferenced. Without a mesh, picks land on splat centres and the badge reads Indicative.
